About The Blood of Heroes Website:

thebloodofheroes.net Website came about shortly after September 11, 2001 after a burning desire to pay tribute to all those who perished and served on this day. The burning desire within, may be do to the fact that I had worked only six short blocks away from the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan.

The name thebloodofheroes came about for multiple reasons. The main reason being September 11, 2001 shed the blood of nearly 3,000 innocent civilians who are now known as our Heroes. Additionally, since the declaration of war on Iraq, the United States and our allies, have lost thousands of lives. Men and women serving proudly to protect freedom throughout the world. Then, when thinking of this disaster, what comes to mind is the blood of heroes.

This site is NOT meant to be a constant reminder of this tragic day but then again, we can NEVER FORGET all the innocent lives lost on this day. I don't need graphics to remind me, as every picture is still fresh in memory as if it happened yesterday. Even to this very day, I cannot accept the fact that the Twin Towers are no longer there along with their thousands of people. Those magnificent towers, visible for miles around, standing bold and strong, forever gone with all those innocent people.

One of the things that I will forever miss, is visitors asking for directions, many not even able to speak English (but yet they managed to speak those two or three words), to the World Trade Center or the Twin Towers. These visitors came from all over the United States and for that matter, all over the world. Because of the close proximity of where I worked, my answer used to be "Just Look Up"! The look of shear exhilaration on their faces made it all worth it!

The sad fact is, it's a memory now that will be with me for the rest of my life, for the rest of your life. Unfortunately, these barbarians that did this don't understand the American People. 99.9% of the American People would give the shirts off their backs if asked. But these barbarians didn't ask, they took. And they took our most precious treasure, all those innocent lives. For that, we will never rest and we will never again become that "Sleeping Giant" we once were. As a matter of fact, from what I understand, America supplies more humanitarian aid and relief then any other country on this earth. So for these barbarians to attack the very country helping more people around the world is unconscionable.

September 11. 2001 is not just about New York City and the World Trade Center. American Airlines Flight 11, American Airlines Flight 77, United Airlines Flight 93, United Airlines Flight 175 and the Pentagon are all just as devastating. WE all lost precious loved ones on this day. And we all must NEVER FORGET! Over the past few years, I have heard statements to the fact "It's time we get over this" or "I'm tired of hearing about 911." Even a statement saying "Big Deal." To that I can only think that these people are narrow minded and they don't really understand the magnitude of what has taken place. I try to justify these statements by thinking the old saying "Unless you where there or personally involved, you wouldn't understand."

Additionally, no matter what our view on the war in Iraq, we must always show our support for our troops. Don't allow their dedication and loss ever to be forgotten. To that extent, we have also dedicated thebloodofheroes.net website to the men and women serving in this Nations Armed Forces.

Although this website is small in comparison to the outpouring of support for our troops, we have also installed a Flag Pole and display the American Flag 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. The American Flag is lighted from dusk to dawn in accordance with proper flag etiquette. Every time I see the flag, I always get a sense of pride to be an American. Additionally, and above all, I am reminded of all our veterans who have sacrificed so much to include giving their lives for our Liberties and Freedom. I will always fly the American Flag in their honor.

I can only hope that thebloodofheroes.net has portrayed the same honor and respect for those who view its contents. If it has, then I have accomplished what I set out to do.

Thank you for viewing thebloodofheroes.net .
